Robert Work

President

Bob co-founded TritonAMI in 2004 and has implemented over 20 AMI/AMR projects utilizing a wide variety of AMI/AMR technologies. He has been involved in the design and implementation of systems used to monitor, measure, manage and conserve electric, water, gas and oil resources for over 30 years.

Bob graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering from Marquette University in 1979. At that time oil prices had increased about 400% as a result of the oil embargo and the country was in its second energy crisis. He worked with Siemens and Honeywell to design and upgrade systems that would maximize the efficient use of utilities through proper design, management and control.

In 1994 he co-founded and acquired interests in companies that design, install and maintain systems to conserve, measure, monitor and control utility use.

Delta Water was founded in 1994 and is owned and operated by Bob and his partner Rodney Davis. Over the past 15 years it has implemented over 100 water conservation projects in a wide variety of facilities and institutions across the country. Completed projects are now conserving over 17 billion gallons of water a year.

In 1994 he also became President and Co-owner of Star Service. Star Service is a 60-year-old company that specializes in designing, installing and maintaining environmental systems and automation and control systems for commercial and industrial facilities.

Distributed Control Systems (DCS) were first developed in the mid 1970’s for use in the industrial sector. SCADA (Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition) systems were used provide input and output information to and from remote Distributed Control System’s. True distributed PID digital control was first introduced in the commercial market in the late 1980’s. In the 21st Century, Home Area Network (HAN) technologies, such as WiFi and Zigbee, are providing the ability to monitor and control residential energy use.

The evolution of the Smart Grid in the 21st century will incorporate industrial, commercial and residential knowledge (old and new) regarding the measurement, monitoring and control of utilities. It will allow customers who reduce demand to be rewarded with lower rates. It will allow customers who invest in alternative energy easier access to market that energy. As the control industry evolved to accept local, distributed control (to improve efficiency and reliability) the grid will evolve to accept distributed power for much the same reason. A Smart National Grid will be able to use the most efficient and clean power sources wherever they are distributed on the grid and not just at large central plants that are inherently inefficient in generating and transmitting power.

Bob has years of experience understanding the technologies and systems that will manage and control the Smart Grid and can deliver and manage the resources to make your program a success.

Rodney Davis

VP of Operations

Rodney Davis co-founded TrtionAMI in 2004 and its sister company, Delta Water (a Water Conservation company) in 1994. He and his partner, Robert Work, share equal ownership in both companies. As VP of Operations for TritonAMI, Rodney is responsible for assessing field conditions, pricing and overall management of all installations. He has experience working with over 20 utilities assessing the conditions of their systems and successfully overseeing the installation of a wide variety of AMI/AMR technologies to provide better management and control on the supply side of the utility meter.

Rodney has significant experience on the demand side of water meters as well. In 1994 he co-founded Delta Water. As President of Delta Water, Rodney has had the overall responsibility for developing and delivering hundreds of water conservation projects. These completed projects are now saving over 17,000,000,000 gallons of water every year. After surveying hundreds of facilities Rodney has gained an excellent understanding of how water is utilized in a wide variety of facilities metered by a wide variety of technologies.

Rodney started his career working as a pipefitter for one the largest mechanical contractors in Louisiana. As he progressed to the position of supervisor, he gained a reputation for never failing to bring a job in on time and on budget. His reputation landed him a position as a lead supervisor at Honeywell where he began supervising multiple ongoing projects and over 50 pipefitters. He consistently held the lowest installed deviation within Honeywell for the entire country.

Rodney was promoted to the position Director of Operations for the Southern Region at Honeywell over all aspects of service and installations. In his 30-year career at Honeywell he acquired extensive project management experience on projects whose scope ranged from the installation of building environmental equipment to sophisticated, state-of-the-art automation and control systems. He was also responsible to assure the quality delivery of all maintenance services and automation and control system maintenance contracts.

For over 35 years Rodney has always been hands-on, in the field, surveying existing systems and managing installations. Engineers have relied heavily on his accurate assessments of field conditions and his design recommendations that are based on his real-world knowledge of the true capabilities of systems and the right marriage of technology, field conditions and customer requirements.

Susie McMullan

VP of Business Development, TritonAMI
President Triton Water Technologies of California

In 2006, Susie transferred to Silicon Valley area to product manage conservation tools and manage West Coast operations for TritonAMI. Since then she has consulted, implemented and integrated many turn-key AMI systems.

Prior to Triton, she worked under Robert ‘s mechanical contracting firm, Star Service, Inc since 1999. As General Manager at Star Service in Houston, Susie was responsible for growing the business from zero to $5MM in ongoing annual maintenance revenue, managing over 30 mechanics, 2 sales representatives, 3 supervisors, operations manager and administration personnel. Her team was responsible for maintaining and repairing the most sophisticated refrigeration and controls systems in the country. With customers like Dow Chemical, Valero, Chevron and Conoco-Phillips, quality control and safety was at the heart of every process.

Al Work

Chief Operating Officer

As Chief Operating Officer, Al is responsible for the overall operation of the business including finance and contract negotiations. It is his responsibility to ensure the correct resources are being applied to a project to achieve the best outcome. He is responsible for the overall management and allocation of all engineering, installation, supervision and management resources as well as legal support, administrative support and managing the relationships with our business partners.

Al is a seasoned business executive with over 30 years of corporate and entrepreneurial experience. He’s acquired, started, operated and sold businesses in the manufacturing and wholesale distribution fields.

Before joining Triton, Al worked with owners of privately held businesses to develop and implement successful exit strategies as principal of a mergers and acquisitions firm.

Prior to this he started and sold a business that processed and supplied value added building materials to local, regional and national home builders in the southeast.

Earlier he spent 20 years with one of the world’s largest manufacturers of high-speed packaging machinery. With operations in both the U.S. and England this company supplied equipment to most major producers of food and consumer disposable products around the globe. As an employee, executive and eventual owner he played a significant role in strategic planning and business management that led to significant growth. This included the development and successful introduction of some of the first packaging machinery equipped with microprocessor controls and state of the art electronics.

In addition to extensive experience in sales, finance and strategic planning, he’s held senior executive positions in marketing and also in operations with responsibilities for engineering, purchasing and manufacturing.
